Ministry of Commerce: In 2021, my country's economic and trade cooperation with countries along the "Belt and Road" will continue to deepen

  CCTV News: On January 25, the relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Commerce introduced that in 2021, the "Belt and Road" economic and trade cooperation will continue to deepen, making new contributions to the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road".


  Unimpeded trade has reached a new level. In 2021, the trade volume of goods between my country and the countries along the "Belt and Road" will reach 11.6 trillion yuan, a new high in eight years, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%, accounting for 29.7% of my country's total foreign trade. New forms of foreign trade such as cross-border e-commerce have developed rapidly, and a number of overseas warehouses have been built and put into operation. The first overseas smart logistics platform that connects supply and demand of overseas warehouses - "Overseas Warehouse Service Online" was officially launched. China-Europe trains operated 15,000 trains throughout the year, a year-on-year increase of 22%.


  New progress has been made in investment cooperation. In the whole year, the direct investment in countries along the “Belt and Road” reached 138.45 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.9%, accounting for 14.8% of the total foreign investment. For the first time, the direct investment of enterprises from countries along the “Belt and Road” in my country exceeded 10 billion US dollars, reaching 11.25 billion US dollars, equivalent to 74.28 billion yuan. The construction of the “One Belt, One Road” project is progressing steadily, and Chinese enterprises have completed a turnover of 578.57 billion yuan in contracted projects in countries along the route, accounting for 57.9% of the total foreign contracted projects.


  The mechanism platform has been newly improved. my country has established 8 new working groups on unimpeded trade and bilateral investment cooperation with relevant countries, signed a memorandum of cooperation with Senegal on e-commerce, and signed memorandum of cooperation with Hungary and Russia on investment in green development and digital economy. The cooperation mechanism has become increasingly perfect. Communication channels are more abundant.
